MinMedisin

Would you want this lady to remind you to take your pill?

I'm finally doing my master thesis, or diploma as it's know at AHO, and I'm working within the area of medication. It's fact that about 50% do not take their medicine as prescribed, this is a huge economical problem all over the world, but worse, it can lead to serious health complications and in the worst cases it may even result in death.

I'm looking into how the smart phone can be a tool to increase adherence: Help the patients to take the correct medicine, in the correct dose at the correct time.
Piece of cake.

Paper lamp

This project kept me occupied for a couple of hours, but again, very relaxing. It didn't keep it's round shape very well, but I will try to make an other one...perhaps after my diploma. When I find the time, I plan to mount a bulb in it, hope it won't catch on fire.

Paper ornaments

Paper necklace

I've got a new hobby; to roll paper!
Some may not have patience for this sort of thing, but I find it really relaxing.
This is a necklace I made for Eva Marit as a Christmas present. I'm sure she can wear it at least twice before it is ruined!

Sketch

Elopak

Not many posts from me regarding my current project, Elopak (third largest carton producer in the world), and this is mostly because is has been an extremely frustrating process. The course is called Systems oriented design, and as the title implies, we are working with systems (really!), getting a holistic view of the company and the field they are working within. Not knowing what the result will be, and not knowing what you are looking for (as I got no brief), made the first months my worst, of all 4,5 years at AHO.

Now I'm finally getting more into things, about time as there is less than three weeks left. This is a part of my mapping, which is a big part of the course to get this "larger view" of the situation.

Presentation time

Don't think Ida knew what she got herself into when she asked Thomas and me for some input, before she was heading to Paris to present for her company, Abbott. we spent quite a few hours on this low tech presentation, but it was fun and I think the result was something quite different from the rest of the speakers.

Playing Logo

With inspiration from one of Nina Knutsens sketches, I had fun making this logo suggestion for OFV (Opplysningsrådet for Veitrafikk)

Also working on one for Thomas Hegge

This Is Serieteket

Have a look at our concept at Serieteket!

5 nominations, 1 prize!

We got 5 nominations, three for Deichmanske and two for Telenor. I have been nominated before, but never won, so the joy was even greater when we won this year! Thank you Creuna for 10.000 NOK! The Telenor project won the prize "Innovation Prize For User Centered Design and Technology", so we are hoping Telenor sees the value in it as well.

AHO Works

Our two projects in the exhibition!!

Getting ready for AHO Works

As the other master courses, we to had an exhibition. This turned out to be a lot(!) more work then we had expected, but the result was really nice. We tried to create a corner in the exhibition, to show how we wanted our solution could work. So we got furniture from Fretex, and comics from Serieteket, to create a small space in the future Serieteket. PeiPei and me was doing the project together, and Renata was helping us to make the exhibition. This is us gathering furniture, and painting them. 12 hours of work, during the most beautiful day so far this year.
